Dear Band Parents,
Welcome back to another year of “Beautiful Music”! The students have jumped right in and are working diligently on their new music selections. Now it is our turn, as parents, to show our support for them financially. We will explain how you can buy your groceries and put money into your child’s trip account at the same time.
Firstly, we would like to welcome a new sponsor, Gimli Super A Foods. They have generously offered to provide “Gift Cards” for your child’s Band Trip Account. It would work much the same as the “Sobey’s Cards” have in the past. You will still drop off your cheques at C.I.B.C. (payable to “G.H.S. Band Trip”). They will be picked up on Wednesday of each week, and on Thursday the grocery cards will be available for you to pick up; again, at C.I.B.C. The cards will be available in denominations of $100.00. So if you buy $300.00 worth of Super A cards, then $21.00 will go to your child’s trip account. Please indicate the student’s name and write “Cards” on the memo line. As you may be aware, this year is a “trip year”, so you might want to start collecting your 7% as soon as possible!
If you wish to make a cash deposit to your child’s account, we ask that the cash (or cheque) is placed in an envelope and sealed. Write your name & phone number on the outside and indicate what the money is for.
In closing, we would like to thank Sobey’s for their past years of support to the Band Program.
